Told me that one of my past creditors hired them to lodge a complaint for monies owed and not paid. I indicated to him that I did pay and have a payoff letter. He asked me to get it and call him back. Low and behold, the number rings into a voicemail. When he did call me back he indicated the client did verify my debt had been paid and no further action would be taken. This person must have called a zillion times and now doesn't pick up the phone. I'm glad I keep track of all my transactions. You have to keep track of your personal dealings -- do not get scammed and give away your personal information. First make them prove the debt with a fax or email with the information. If you ask for this before answering questions, and if it is a scam, they will not contact you back. This way you can't be scammed! BEWARE!

This Scott person is calling from (855)269-5614 and threatening to sue. I'm ignoring the calls because I know this is a scam. I hope the local and federal authorities investigate this.

I received a very threatening call today from "Scott pope" I have no debt of any form so there is no way anything he is saying is true. These are clearly scam artists. I am turning all this info into the local police. Scare tactics don't work on me & if you don't have the correct personal info for me threats & cuss words don't work.

This man Scott Pope called me saying he was from NCR and Associates in Kansas City. He said he was calling to collect on a debt I owed. Gave me my personal information. He td me I had to settle with him today by giving him a credit card or we cod do a 4 month payment plan. If I didn't want to agree to these terms that a lawsuit was going to be filed a a judgment would be placed on me or a garnishment of my wadges. I don't owe this money!!!!! He is a very good scam person. He is convincing! !!!!!

I am FURIOUS, this piece of sh** stole $200 from our bank account. He has called family members making threats and last night got a call that a woman would show up at work with a sheriff to serve a subpoena, she even said something about going to the Feds. She said we could call Scott by noon today though, guess what, he asked for $1400 immediately for an online payday loan, which we have never done. Oh and guess what too.....the bitch never showed up! When we called Scott today and asked for paperwork for the "loan" he said well we don't do paperwork. This is a scam and I am not done with this POS!!!!!! He had the same info. Last four of ssn, phone and apparently bank account!

There has been a man by the name f Scott Pope calling me for months and posing as an attorney representing a company that I supposedly owe money too. I have never heard of the company he is referring to and he is using your phone number along with many others. He is also connecting himself to NCR & Associates. The calls r becoming more threatening and intimidating. I have been dealing with this for months, have had to change bank accounts and looking at changing my phone number, however he is now calling me at work. He has part of my birth date plus the last 4 of my social. I have referred this to my attorney twice and the first time we called him on a 3 way, he hung up. Going back to the Investigator that first was on this case and proved it was a scam. Please beware of this man.

I got a call from him, too. He was threatening a law suit against me because of 2 payday loans I owe. I do owe the loans, but was worried about it being someone trying to scam me and not really given permission to collect on my debt. He quoted my debt as $2300, but would settle for $2100. I ended up giving my info to him so he could collect the first $500 the end of February. I then started to get scared that this was a fake debt collector, so I withdrew all my money before this month's payment came out. I got a call today. Scott left message on work and cell phone stating it was time sensitive and that I needed to call today to rectify this matter to avoid substantial fines being imposed on me by tomorrow. He never validated my debt after the first time he called. I received nothing in writing and he refused to give me their address. Said they were around Atlanta. I also got another call this afternoon from a Jason Cobb. He said he was from NCR Financial, where Scott said NCR and Associates. They have called from a couple of different numbers and also gave me a different case number this time than the first time calling.
