I've never even answered there calls. But got tired of them calling so I called the number back today. I just got a recording stating the number I called has not yet been set up to answer calls. I've seen others post and they say it is a google chrome or Linix virus scams. I have google chrome and a chrome book. Everyone says they get a virus first. I never have gotten one. From my understanding google chrome chrome books have built in security. But I haven't gotten a virus. I did on my Windows 7/10. I did get fake virus on it. Called the number and fell for it. But my internet provider told me a f term I let them in that I was safe. I let my provider in to check. Said where my ip switches it's hard for them to do anything. I keep any eye on my credit score and things...so far so good. I'll never fall for it again. I was lucky it didn't cot me smokey.
If you get this warning just press: alt + ctrl +delete............and next press Start Task Manager
then from the list of webpages that show up. Just delete the bogus warning page.
yes, locked up my google chrome browser when I opened an email from what's app messenger on my sbcglobal.net account. my IT friend said to get rid of any sbcglobal. net or yahoo email accounts as they're the most vulnerable to attack and often have these. this has never happened on my gmail account and this also happened about a month ago and it cost $200 to fix the machine. today, when i called to complain the indian guy claimed he was linux support. when i disputed that an apple imac couldn't have a microsoft tech problem, he hung up on me. SCAM
Yes... virus scam and he has even somehow tapped into my computer.
