Scammers don't talk to them just call FTC and file complaint.

They called my Dad's house. He relayed the phone number and "claim number" to me. I called and they said something about a pay day loan from 2012 and tried to verify information that was incorrect. I asked for their address so my attorney could formally request the paperwork (that they supposedly had), and they hung up on me.
Caller name was Jodie, says I have a payday loan in my name from an address that does not match the year I was there. Once I told her I wasn't paying, she got an attitude and began telling me about something similar happening to her. Her extension is 425.
Trans American Consumer Service called me multiple times saying that I had a short term loan that defaulted in 2011. I asked them for their mailing address & they refused to give it to me. I explained that it's Federal law to provide it for correspondence. They actually said that they can "refuse" that part of the law
