l got a call tonight (April 25, 2018) at 7:10. Caller ID said "Name unavailable." I didn't answer. When I called the number, a robotic voice said, "Number not in service." Very annoying.
Scam artist calling from phone number that says "name unavailable." Hung up.
Male Indian accented caller said he was from Microsoft and needed to gain remote access to my computer to fix licensing problem. I played along for a bit asking him questions as to what it was for and he kept repeating my computer had licensing issues that needed to be fixed. He asked me to press Ctrl and "R" and read what it said on screen. I read F * U * C * K * U and he hung up on me!! ****DO NOT give access to these scammers to your computers. They will access to gain your personal information and do whatever they want with it! They will not take you off their list so either play along and do what I did to waste their time and prevent from calling someone else for a bit or just hang up!
Called me today, Indian accent male named "peter". When confronted became confrontational, threatened to show me who he is later. It's ok. I hope he does. I got something waiting for him here.
Robodialer, today connected me to a live person with Indian accent. Claims I need to renew my license, WAN network drivers have expired, for windows server. Gave a license id# that means nothing to me. I requested he stop calling me, he responded that they would stop calling me when I have updated my computer license. Spent 7 minutes trying to convince me, despite my telling him 3 times I an not running Windows. The webpage he directed me to voxforum.com loads suspicious javascript code async.
