(845) 424-5898

Scammers calling from 845-424-5898 and 914-292-6938 (both NY numbers) keep leaving me voicemails with an automated female voice claiming that the police have pressed charges and will take me into custody within 24 hours unless I call back. A) I've not done anything wrong, B) I haven't been to NY in at least five years, and C) I'm pretty easy to find and it's been a week of messages so the police force must be pretty sh**y if they haven't come to take me into custody yet. Verdict: It's completely a robocall scam. (The beginning of the voicemails on my phone are cut off but commenters on other sites indicate that they are claiming to be a police force working on behalf of the IRS).
