ID identified this group as Root Technology, saying someone is trying to hi jack our computer. This cal is spam, ignore their call

Received a robocall stating that they have reports of suspicious activity with my Microsoft Windows computer and that someone was trying to hijack my computer system, etc, etc... and that I needed to call this number or select 1 to talk to a supervisor, etc.......This is one call of many different call scams this week

SCAM - recording, that someone is trying to hijack my computer and you need to call 845-478-9925 right away to get help to save your computer.

3/12/18 Caller ID Root Technology, phone # 845-478-9925. Computer-generated voice, left voice-mail message: ".... your computer. If it's not fixed right away, then your computer will become obsolete and all of your personal information may got (sic) compromised. Please call ... blah blah blah." When these scammers leave such an obvious trail, can't the authorities follow up, call that number, and then nail them? I guess there are too many of them to expect this, but wouldn't it be nice to see them caught and shut down?

This was a hoax call telling me my identity had been breached and people could steal my bank savings and credit accounts.
