yes, Multiple calls over 2 day period - answer phone and no one is on the line

SCAMMERS called to say my internet is being hacked into

The guy called me at WORK (from India - claimed name of Nicholas - right.....) and said my computer is being hacked by Russell Blake and Thomas Dimitri. He said their office is in Homestead Florida and that they are from the Microsoft Tech Department who gives them authority to monitor computers. I said well give me the information to stop them from hacking. He said NO you must be in front of the computer to do this because it is too difficult to explain. I just hung up on him. Don't bother wasting your time to listen to them. It is a hoax.

slight twist on the Windows support scam, but they drop names like your phone service provider, family names they found on the internet, and threaten you when you ask questions.

Scammers who have called other times claiming to be with Microsoft Technical Support. Their claim is that our computer was sending them a notification where at the time of the call our computers did not have an Internet connection available. Other online reports claim to be scammed by them as well.
I asked for the liars name and he said Peter, which is likely also a lye since that is not usually an Indian name with the accent he had.
Please go to the National Do Not Call Registry and report them so the government will see that they bug a lot of people and will do something about them. https://www.donotcall.gov/default.aspx

The I tech ALert scammer stayed on much longer than usual when I asked a lot of questions. FInally claimed to be associated with Comcast (but that I couldn't solve this problem through COmcast) and to be receiving messages about unauthorized use of my Windows router/network as sent to their server (not a Comcast server) in Florida. Of course did not know anything about my router. FInally he asked to prove himself by giving my computer ID and did I know how to find it on my computer? I said I could compare that later, please just give me the ID they had, and he guy said I asked too many questions so I could just hang up. caller ID showed 800 service 855 2103300. He offered callback no 800 4397794 which I did not bother with.

Gunny912 To ANYONE Who receives a Call From 855-210-3300: I am an IT professional with 24 years of experience including several in IT security. PLEASE follow this advice...do not give any information to these thieves even if you own a Mac. Do not stay on the line with them longer than a few seconds. They are gathering information about you and you system and anything you tell them helps them steal from you. Just choose your expletive or short insult and hang up. If you have the technical skills to block the number I advise doing so. If anyone calls you and says they've detected a virus/unauthorized activities/banking problems...don't stay on the line and don't answer any questions.

Total scam....wanted to 'help' us fix the virus problem they were receiving notifications for. I told them my husband is a computer expert(which he is) and would know what to do do if and when he discovered any issues. Very persistent and repeatedly told me we needed the support; that they were 'authorized' to do so when we signed up for the service; nope, no signing up for that service here.

After VOLUMINOUS calls (been a few years now) I purchased an air horn from a sporting goods store, and when they call and start their spiel, I blast them! I still get calls but not as frequently AND I get at least a little retaliatory satisfaction.

This is FRAUD. Hang up immediately
