After 2nd call I call-blocked it. Scam stuff. Something about my membership expiring.

I was called by the 855-215-1831 number to arrange a home visit by an Aetna doctor. I called the aetna number on my medical card after reading the info on this website claiming a scammer was using the number. I was informed that the call was legitimate.
Persistent and I want nothing to do with them

I called Aetna direct and got answers. This is NOT a scam. It is a new benefit that they are offering their policyholders. I was reassured that this is completely legit, and a nice benefit for Aetna Medicare Policyholders. Rest assured folks. All is well. My appointment is in two weeks.! I am anxious to reap the benefits.! Thanks Aetna..!!

It is a scam. This is the Annual Wellness Visit that Medicare pays for. That visit should be with your primary care physician so your doctor can keep track of your health.

These are Annual Wellness Exams, and they send a nurse to your home to screen you for whatever they feel like screening for. Medicare PAYS separately to Aetna or another insurance company, hence the reason for the call. Most PCP's also perform this service by a nurse IN THEIR OFFICE - much better than sharing your info!
