Calls at least once a day with hate and misinformation about political issues.

They call almost every day, even though I've blocked their #. Decided to call back to harass them, asking for their home phone # so I can call them every day. The woman said she doesn't have a home phone, so I told her I'd call her at work every day. Her answer as to why they keep calling was until they reach the person. Finally hung up. Got a 202 area code # from their CITIZENS UNITED web site. They assured that my # would be deleted. Seeing is believing.

the caller was not an NRA call. I talked to the person and eventually they said they were trying to see is the general public would protest if the president used executive authority to sign a temporary halt to the 2nd amendment. Once I said that would be good she admitted it was something possible but the administration was just doing a poll. She also said using this method was more under the table and not directly traceable back to the democratic team. I offered to help just to see what the response would be and was given a direct number. The number was a 202 area code number and was answered by someone from Molly Allen Associates who ever that is.

Robot harassment call promoting lies! Clear violation of FCC rules and violation of Federal "Do Not Call" listing. If anyone has an address will consider using my firearms possession rights to shoot the bastards!
Sorry, but unfortunately, both political and "charitable" calls are exempted from the "Do Not Call" listing.
This is a anti-Obama message about "President Obama is getting ready to appeal the 2nd Amendment and is trying to take away your American right to own guns" (Obviously from the NRA) When I called them back by pressing #1 to speak with a representative. I asked the following question "Is president Obama going to appeal the 2nd Amendment? to which the woman said Yes, he's getting ready to do it as we speak" I then asked "Have you ever had a Civic's class?" long silence, then she said "What does that have to do with this, to which I said "Only Congress with a 2/3 vote or 3/4 of all States can appeal, change, ratify or eliminate an Amendment, (the latter has never happened in the History of our country), the president doesn't have the authority to change the Constitution." She hung up without saying another word. I never assume someone is stupid, that is until they open their mouth and prove me wrong.

Close: Congress has to pass a constitutional amendment with a 2/3 majority in BOTH the House and the Senate, then 3/4 of the states have to ratify it (BOTH have to happen). Technically, an amendment COULD be proposed by a constitutional convention called for by two-thirds of the State legislatures but none of the 27 amendments to the Constitution have been proposed by constitutional convention. Either way, 3/4 of the states (right now, that's 37 states) have to ratify the proposed amendment.
Prohibition was voted in with the Eighteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution, then repealed with the Twenty-first Amendment. Yes, it's still "in the Constitution", but that's because (just like state constitutions), nothing appears to get "cleaned up" even when obsolete.
