Might be good not to call something a "scam" unless it involves deliberately deceptive or misleading practices.

Unwanted calls are annoying, even more than unwanted email promotions (spam), but Shaw is a legitimate company that, in my experience as a customer, is happy to sell its services without resorting to scamming the public.

I got a call the number isfrom Shaw Cable. They called with Promo for two months free cable for customers. I confirmed with shaw and received free cable for a couple months.

I have been getting constant calls from Shaw with various promotions and deals. I have asked them many times to not call me but they never listen.

It's getting to the point where I am going to cancel my account because of these god damn idiots. I have never been more disgusted with a company.

They called and said they were from Shaw. They said I play my internet bill on time and asked if I wanted free cable for two months. I then called Shaw and asked them and they confirmed it's legitimacy. Now I'm getting two free months of cable.

Always be weary, but if they say that it's a company that you do business with, there's no harm in calling that company at a number you know is theirs and asking.
