These people have been reported to the federal trade commision. I was also advised to contact the attorney general office. I have asked them repeatedly to stop calling. They claim that I owe money for a payday loan which I do n
have placed fraud alerts on my credit.
Received all same as others here. Called me and used my ex's last name, been divorced and name changed since 2007! It's 2016 and they tried to say I owed some short term loan from way back then for $480. Almost 10 years later? Not too mention I've never taken a loan or a payday loan. Accents that made it hard to fully understand them and would not give me info on what this loan was, exactly when and where. They just got rude the more I interrogated them. Said arbitration and court, blah blah blah...
Of course they then mention me settling before being taken to court by paying them. I let them know I'm not falling for their scam (in angry words though) and if this is legit I'll wait for a letter in the mail with my court date.
My mother in law text me half hour later and said she got a phone call asking for me with my old last name also! So they search for info related to you and will harass anyone your name is linked to! Looking at call times they actually called her an hour before calling me.
Do not fall for this scam!!!
keeps calling asking for the wrong person
