It is BOA. Not to worry.

Got a paper from BOA with this number and it was for a special APR offer. Called it and it sounded legit. I did not have to give out my SS# or CC# for them to verify my account. The information they used was stuff I can change or is public info anyway. They were from preferred member services. Will monitor my account to see if anything happens.

Had a missed call on my cell. no voice mail. Comments from this website suggest it was from BOA. But I did not check.

Please be cautious when giving out personal information over the phone. They may have some general information of you and sound like a real business, but actually they are trying to fish more information out of you...

They called and IT WAS FROM BOA. I was skeptical but went on the BOA website and called their security and fraud number and they verified it was definitely a call from BOA welcoming us into a new level of account.

Chill people. The number is real. While these people may be annoying, the number is legit. They are from BofA preferred client services. You can do your own research by simply calling the number back, which I did, and it's BofA. In addition, while I told them I was not interested, the agent sent me a follow up email with a bankofamerica email address and all of the links are bankofamerica and so are the email headers. I'm an IT guy and I know what Im talking about and I know what phishing emails are.

It is a legitimate call. It is on your chocice if you are comfortable giving out the information. I guess not everyone is comfortable like I m not too comfortable as well. It is regarding the BofA rewards program questions.

It was actually from BoA Preferred Banking marketing team. I gave my address and dob, and a little worried about that, then later checked this website and immediately called the BoA Customer Support and they confirmed that I was called by their Preferred Banking marketing team and also mentioned the details of the call, I'm relieved.

I contacted Bank of America through their message center and asked about this number. Gave them the number 855-307-3887 and this is what they sent back.

"Thank you for contacting the Bank of America Preferred Service Center. We have received your inquiry dated September 17, 2014 regarding a recent call and it would be our pleasure to assist you.

We certainly appreciate you reaching out to us to confirm a call and we can absolutely understand your concern when being asked for personal information. This is our Preferred Service Center team that contacted you and wanted to go over the program and your benefits. The associates who contact you may ask you to verify personal information in order to review specific account information or make any necessary maintenance changes."

This number called my cell today and said they were from BoA and wanted to go over some benefits of a program I had recently enrolled in. (Preferred Rewards) I did enroll in this program and they knew which tier I was in. I don't know how they could have known so many specific details (Full name, number, recent account history) if they weren't from BoA.

That being said, I didn't give them any information after they had just cold called from an unkown number and started asking me to verify my account info.

I called back this number and it seemed legitimate.
I have been dealing with BofA, so I think I gave out personal info before I noticed something was fishy.
She asked for a secret password, which I don't have on a BofA accout.
Now I'm on my way to the bank to see what's up.

A guy called from this number, identified himself as from Bank of America Preferred Client services and said he wanted to remove some non BofA ATM fees on my account and asked for verification. When I called BofA back, they do not have any record of that and said this number is not registered for BofA.

I called and it turns out that they make welcome calls for credit cards. Reviewed terms and rewards structure of card. They helped me with a balance transfer and setting up online profile.

Either you are a scammer or you got scammed. This is clearly a phishing operation. Change your credit card number now, and put a watch on your credit.

I think it was a scam. A male voice said he was with BofA and asked me to verify information. I then called BofA and asked about the call. They had no record of it
