Some mandarin voice. No idea what they want.
Automated message entirely in Mandarin: This number called and it was an automated voicemail saying that it is your last day to pickup your important package otherwise the item will be return to sender or press 1. I do a lot of online shopping so I wasn't 100% sure if it's mine or not so I pressed 1 and spoke to an actual person. The person asked for my name, I said "*****” and she said "is that your legal name?" I said "No but if there's any parcel it would be under "xxxxx" (gave fake name as a test) she told me everything in their system is only registered based on legal names so i gave her a fake full legal name. Then she said I sent a parcel from Vancouver to Beijing containing illegal items and it is being held at Beijing Customs. I told her I'm based in Ottawa. She said I need to report it to the Chinese police and send a police report to customs so I'm released from any illegal charges. Urrrr what?.... she gave me a bunch of information around the parcel (contained a lot of illegal passports... I never remembered ordering something like this from Amazon) and who the recipient was. And then she said "stay on the line and i'll transfer you to the Chinese police department".. it was obviously a scam to me so i hung up before they could ask me any more information. ALSO this whole time, the entire conversation was in Mandarin.
