I keep getting the same call but they dont leave me a message. It goes straight to VM, they did leave one threating me about some summons. But ibelieve they are a debit collection agency trying to collect on old debit they bought, since its year end.

hi everyone this also happen to me same guy mr. gale or whatever his name is called me to to say he had a summons for me never should up and also gave me a reference number to call this is crazy. am glad i came on here to see what was going on.

@Diane: On the day that "Mr. Kelly" claimed he would be coming to my house to "serve" me, he called around lunchtime to tell me that it was my "last chance" to "contact the party pursuing [me]". He then stated that he had left the number I needed to call, he had no choice but to come to my house, and in a pissed off tone, said he would be at my house "very soon".

No one ever showed. I've done a bit more poking around and have learned that Check Management Group is owned by an attorney named Donald Alessi in Buffalo, NY. Check Management Group is not licensed to collect in any state. The calls claiming to have documents ordering you to appear in court are illegal, they violate the FDCPA.

Ok I don't feel alone now. Same thing happened to me today. They called me on my home phone which is unlisted and a guy by the name of Tim said he was going to be here Thursday to have me sign legal documents. I live in Pittsburgh and I too have looked online and there is nothing showing of any court case for me at all. I don't have a checking account or write checks since I haven't been working. Talked to a friend of mine and she told me that it is a scam and to let my local authorities know which I will do tomorrow.

The details of the voicemail I received fits the description of practically everyone else whose posted. Some guy named Tim Gale said he would be delivering certified legal documents for me to sign in order to show for court. And if I had any questions concerning the documents or for more information about the claim against me I'm supposed call 855-363-6702 with a case #. He said he'd deliver them to my home on Tues. unless he heard something differently from the 855 office. The caller id showed as "anonymous".

No one seems to be reporting back here, so I'm wondering if they're being served or not.
