I received a call today stating it was a representative from American Express and if I could call back.
The number to call back was slightly different than the number that called. The call back was 855-431-1772.

This so called American Express caller calls and doesn't say word. It called 3 or 4 times in a row as well as called my other company number. If you press a number on the phone, it will also press a number. Whoever it is must be sick in the head or scared of own shadow.
