I was told to call 855-641-0799. They told me they were from Microsoft, and my computer had been compromised, they got access to my computer, started downloading a virus scanner when I checked number online, found complaints, disconnected the number, and shut down my computer. They call back on number 855-442-2935, I question there motive and asked if there was a cost, and they needed to run my computer longer to find out the issue, I disconnected call.

A return call to my phone was made by this number after I had called 855-339-6931 for the second time that day to advise them that they need to change their salutation to "technical scammers" when they answer the phone and that they're nothing but liars, cheats, and scumbags. On one of these calls, they threatened to physically come to my residence and hurt me within the hour. They are very thick skinned and often resort to arguments and intimidation when confronted about their activities.

This number is linked to a number supposedly from Microsoft that froze my computer with an automatic voice message telling me that I had a virus and needed to call 855 398 2138 to talk to Microsoft to get it fixed. I could not do anything with my computer so I turned it off right away. Turning it back on the same recording was running. I went to another internet explorer and got back on computer. When I did call 855 398 2138 A woman with an Indian accent said she was a Microsoft Tech and they could fix my problem. I asked her to give me a call back. They called back with the 855 442 2935 number and when I answered there was nobody there. Bad Scam. They completely took over my computer.

Their number popped up on my computer saying that a virus was infecting my computer that allowed others to see my pictures, passwords, files, etc. I called and they asked me to type in an access code so they could help me get rid of the virus. After following their instructions for bringing up another browser connection, I felt uncomfortable with the process and googled the name of the company on their website: LogMeIn Rescue and saw that it was not a legitimate organization. Then googled the phone number which indicated that it was a scam. Told the Asian sounding woman that I didn't feel comfortable with what I was being instructed to do, and said if necessary I could call her back since I now had her number.

Received a call from 855-442-2935. They stated they were from Microsoft which is complete BS. I told them Microsoft does not make unsolicited calls to fix your computer. They kept persisting. I told them I am a network engineer (which I am) and they still kept persisting. Finally I asked them some basic IT questions. I asked How do you renew your IP address from the cmd prompt? they couldn't answer. I then asked what DNS stands for and what does it do? Again, they could not answer. I then asked them what IP stands for? Once again, they couldn't answer. I told them that all of these questions are day one stuff for real technicians and engineers so why could they, a self proclaimed Microsoft tech, not answer these basic questions at which point they hung up. These people are a SCAM folks! Their intent is to remote into your machine, infect it then hold your computer ransom for money for an infection they caused. Do not fall for it. Instead, do as anonymous says and call them repeatedly, put them on mute, hang up and repeat. Make it a game with these idiots. The more we tie up their line, the less opportunity they have to scam other people. Sadly, it is mostly the elderly community that fall for these scumbags. I got up to 167 calls before they stopped taking my calls. If you really want to get under their skin start making fun of their religion. On one call I got the guy so upset he could hardly formulate a coherent sentence. Sadly, they do not want to play with me anymore:(

This number called me, a man with a thick accent who became very rude and obnoxious the more I doubted his "Microsoft" certification. Lots of background noise, even cussing could be heard. Called me and left a voicemail once I'd hung up calling me a smarta** and telling me I was rude and disrespectful. I think trying to scam someone's computer is the more disrespectful act.

After about the eighth time I called and did not leave them a message I was put on elevator waiting music with a recorded greeting from a perfectly speaking American female voice stating "Thankyou for calling and you will be placed on a waiting list for the next available agent." After about 30 seconds a heavily accented Indian voice greeted by the name of David and something about the Monsoon season approaching.
Anyway, they keep calling and not leave a message, so I respond in kind, even if they answer. The caller location according to google is somewhere on the border of Nebraska and Oklahoma. It must be a switchboard of some kind to India, which is where the idiot Columbus was heading to and thought he arrived at half the time when he landed in the Caribbean.

A man with an Indian accent said he was with Microsoft and got my nephews card number promising to fix the virus that was on his computer, he was able to get into his computer and called back a couple of times trying to see if he is still interested in getting service. I want to see if it is a scam.
