they renewed my subscriptions without giving me the notice promised. I called. To speak with someone you have to press "0". Do not use the other options or you will not get a full refund. I wish everyone would report them to stop this.

Be sure to hit "0" after going through all of the prompts to speak to a person to confirm refund. The automated system doesn't give you your money back, it only stops shipment of magazines.

Found unexplained charges on my credit card bill. I looked up the phone number on Bing..found this webpage and used the 800-399-5731 number to cancel all the renewal subscriptions that were auto billing my credit card. The man that answered was polite but made a serious effort to keep me enrolled....offers of free 3 month extension etc. I pressed for full cancellation and refund..he said to expect refund w/I 3 business days.
Just to be safe, I asked for and received a confirmation code for the cancellation. Hopefully he is as good as his word

They debited my card for $61!

An automatic renewal charge for magazines I no longer wished to receive appeared on my credit card statement on April 21, 2017. On April 23, I called 800-399-5731 and said I wanted to cancel all subscriptions. That same day, my account was credited.

My $2 magazines that weren't supposed to be renewed until September were charged to my debit card for $122 yesterday for 4 magazines. I had saved the number in my calendar they had given me to call in case I wanted to cancel. I called them at 800-429-2550 and the gentleman I spoke with gladly cancelled my account for me and stated I would be getting a full refund within 3 business days. We shall see!!!

Charged my Citi Card 4 times the cover price for magazine renewal. I cancelled, was promised a refund and 5 issues for $2 but am prepared to do battle next month. I am going to alert Citi to monitor my account.

they charged me 122 dollars... like for real? i called my bank and they made me change my card number so this wont happen again.

This is absolutely ridiculous, and a complete scam!! I filled out a survey a few months ago and was told I could choose 4 free subscriptions from a big variety of various magazines. Yesterday (1/12/17), I was charged $122.00 I promptly googled the phone number associated with the charges and thankfully saw this message board. DO CALL THE SYNAPSE NUMBER: 800-399-5731. I called and a surprisingly polite guy on the line cancelled it immediately and said it will be 2-3 business days and my account will be credited. It better! I will check and report back.

Just got charged 150.00 for 4 magazines. I was told they were free. I call and told them off. They said they will credit my account in 24 hours. I will check in 24hrs.

I don't remember what survey service i used last year but once the "free" magazines were delivered, two bank charges (also the "TME" with an alpha-numeric account) were charged - I googled and found this site and used the 1-800-399-5731 # and got "Ricardo" who had attitude and odd, disjointed language/vinacular. I politely asked about the charges and he did state I filled out a survey and proceeded to tell me that "anyway, forget about that" and i blew and used the words Fraud and Scam and he IMMEDIATELY credited my money. I'm reporting to my bank now. Good luck everyone and be careful!

Read this!! These (MagazineCustomerService.com) folks have an effective phone tree. This number was on my bank charge. After much investigation, an item I ordered from The Bradford Exchange in Nov. 2015 created this charge. After my order was completed, I was offered magazines of my choice for $2 per year. I subscribed to 4 but sent in a "Do Not Renew" requests to all 4. They billed me and said they do not receive "Do Not Renew" requests at their location. The magazines were a good deal but you are not given info on how to cancel. This is corrupting the magazines' reputation. After cancelling all subscriptions they had on file for me, I was able to reach a representative by dialing 0. Brandon at this number said he would give me a full refund. I thought I deserved a prize for my perseverance with their phone tree. Brandon was very courteous.

Thank you SO much for giving out this number to Synapse - you can actually speak with a live person. I got nowhere calling the number listed on the bank charge. I've been told I'll have a credit within 72 hours so we'll see!

Charged me 3 times before I caught it and then told me I filled out a survey and received a special offer for a year before the charges. But the funny thing being I have never received a magazine and have not been at the address they had for more than a year. This is a huge scam.

Charged my credit card for 38.00...I am trying to get a credit on my next billing. False charge.
