I received a call from this number and they left message. Didn't listen to it. Looked on this site and thank goodness didn't take call. Thanks!

I and my friend were both contacted by a Phishing Scam.
My friend got her message on her Text
I got mine via email
Both were received today.
My friend doesn't deal with H&R Block, so naturally this alarmed her.
I do use H&R Block, so it alarmed me even more.

I called the number, and because I am an H&R Block client, when asked for my last 4 of my social & my name, I gave it. They proceeded to tell me that the message was sent in error. But gave me an 800# for the I.R.S. and suggested I call them to be on the safe side.

When I called the number for the IRS, it wasn't the IRS, but instead it was a bunch of recordings offering free items,
Here is one of the recordings: "How would you like a $100 gift card for Target for only $1.95 shipping (please have your credit card ready)"
Another example was a Free Life Alert necklace for only $1.95 shipping (please have your credit card ready)
I just hung up. So, bottom line - DO NOT TRUST THIS MESSAGE!
I am in the process of reporting it to the Tax Fraud Hotline.
