Won't stop calling for no reason

I've had numerous calls from these morons over the last month or so... never answered, or got thru when I dialed back... put it on permanent block on my cell.

Just got another & called back (with my # blocked) & actually got thru...

Voicemail says they are "Corsentials".. an "Opinion Research Company"...

Evidently, various companies hire them to do "Opinion Research" on their services... thus the different company names reported here.

So probably not a scam, but definitely an Annoyance Call.



They use "Autodialers" that sequentially dial EVERY phone # in a specific area code & # zone... thus their seeming to "have" you DNC blocked cell phone #


In a very professional voice, ask the caller for their name, home phone #, & credit card #...

When they ask why, tell them you are a professional, & your time is worth money... if they want to waste your time, you intend to BILL them for it.... & if they don't intend to pay, to put your # on their "DO NOT CALL" list, or you will file a lawsuit for harassment if they call again!!

You have the right to file suit once they've been warned & still call back again! (Keep a LOG of dates & times!)

My roommate received this number on her phone and did not leave a message so after looking at other messages, I do not like what it is and just called her a second time after about 10 mins of calling again

i also recieved a call to my cell from this phone #. BIG PROBLEM IS..... i have never had or used TD bank for ANYTHING at all. i have never has any accounts or loans with them, not do i want to after this. how they have my number when i'm on the "do not call" list is rather sketchy.....

I spoke with TD Bank today and The Fraud Department has informed me that this number is to the Third Part Survey Company that they use to call there customers that have either called customer service or have visited a branch. The company only has information such as name on account phone number and the branch and or customer service call that they are calling to survey about. This is totally legit and the only questions that will be asked is in reference to the experience you had with te Branch and/or customer service rep spoken to.

i'm from Montréal, Québec and i had a call from 855-496-4285. It was a female voice with an european accent. it takes times to her to answer at my "hello?" (but because it was an long-distance call, i guest that it was because of that) so she asked for someone, i said "You have the wrong number". "There is no here?" she asked
"No, sorry" i said

and then she said "okay, sorry and goodbye"

that's it. I found this weird because i never had a call from "855" so it was surely out of Québec.

I received a call at 20:09h on March 20, 2012 from 1 855 496 4285. The man had an accent, but indicated this was a survey regarding TD GIC tied to market growth. He asked many questions mostly about satisfaction dealing with the bank representative with whom I dealt. Many questions about the return on my investment. Told him since I had just purchased this GIC, I have no idea whether I'll make anything on it by the end of 3 years or not. I just purchased it because I had a vague chance of making something, rather than the pathetic GIC rates on Long Term Compound Interest for 5 years. I kept telling him to call back in 3 years and I might have answers for him. He asked which banks I dealt with and which is my primary bank, the one I use to pay accounts, etc. - I told him the 3 banks with which I deal, and TD Canada Trust the primary. He asked my income (what would this have to do with my satisfaction?) and I told him a whopper of a lie!

He asked if I would mind being called at a later date. I said that would be OK, but I would ask to be called during the day. I've had a nagging feeling that something about the call was odd, but since I'd just purchased a TD Canada Trust Market Growth Investment, figured it was legitimate.

Call came in on my cell phone. Lady said they had been asked by TD Bank to do a survey. Said call would be recorded. Had my full name and wanted to know if I visited TD Bank for service or a business transaction. Then again said, that this call will be recorded for quality assurance...and proceeded to say that they wanted to know how the tellers were at......[gave specific address of branch]....MY personal banking branch!!! At that point I asked her..."Who are you with?"....she said "Madam?"....I said, "What company are you with?" It sounded like she said something like "Core Search"???...but I really don't know for sure. Going on my inner gut, I told her, I really don't feel it appropriate to talk with anyone, especially about my banking, even more especially when you give the specific address of my banking. Therefore, we are FINISHED!...Thank you for calling." She ended with, "Yes Madam, that is okay.". I then called our bank branch (as they are open on Saturday's) and spoke with the manager on duty, who nicely told me that...yes...TD Bank does do surveys...but advised that we can opt out on that. I told him it just really bothered me that the call came to my cell phone, and they were bringing up such specific branch location information. He was able to set my account to the "opt out" status to prevent any further calls. The lady did sound as though an immigrant or overseas person, as she was not understanding some of what I said in plain English. I then tried a call trace lookup on the number through Whitepages.com and came up with "nothing".
