just take note of the number and silence your ringer for that number. if you don't recognize the number, don't answer, google the number or call them back on another line to identify them .if it's CBV collections, then silence the ringer for that particular number ans add it to your contact manager. next time they call, you probably won't even notice

Not me but my 73 yr. old neighbor. She received a voice mail demanding a return call concerning an important business matter.
It appears that CBV collections specializes in buying up small, old unpaid debts, probably paying a cent on the dollar and hoping they can bully enough people into paying uncollectable debts that they can turn a profit. They call weekends, early mornings and if you pick up, like I did once, you find yourself listening to some Chinese gibberish, part of their tactics of hoping some will pay to stop the harassing. In BC at least if you inform the company in writing that they must communicate with you in writing and not by phone they are subject to fines if they continue to call.
