This number has called us 47 times since Sept 6th 2018. They have never left any kind of message and when I have answered the call between the 1st and 2nd rings I get dead air and a disconnect click. I ran the number on some who called me type web sites after they called us twice in less than 2 hours. The sites id'd the number as 3 different debt collection agencies all committed to attempting to collect debts that are beyond statutes of limitations under state and federal laws. This is a problem because neither my wife or I have ANY outstanding unpaid debts. Active or beyond SOL. SO. Whoever they are has no business calling us and they have now accumulated over $117,000 in federal fines and penalties for failing to make meaningful disclosure and causing a phone to ring. Then there are the punitive penalties and of course court costs and attorneys fees... Add to that the fines for using a robodialer And not a real person so actual contact could be made on any 1 of the at least 6 times I answered... And NO letter of debt collection action having arrived addressed to us, or anyone else for that matter, since well before calls started. From ANY debt collector! Anyone know any good attorney who could turn this into another million dollar plus court costs and attorney fees lawsuit? Time to fry another debt collector!
