I was contacted by Mr. Mason as well. We worked out a settlement payment and date. The debt was paid as agreed. Now, 6 months later I'm getting phone calls from ANOTHER collection agency for the same debt. Freeman Bryant never settled the debt with the original store, never sent me a satisfaction letter (which I requested), and now when I call the phone number (which I used numerous times working out the details of the settlement), it's been disconnected so there's no way to contact them. Professional?!?!?!?! Definitely not. They've got the perfect scam going. DON'T FALL FOR IT LIKE I DID.

After posting the above, I was able to locate Mr. Mason and found out Freeman, Bryant was sold and rebranded. I feel compelled to correct the information and apologize.
I was called also.
I have dealt with both Teresa Anderson and a Mr Mason. Both were professional, helped me with paying off my Kay jewelers account. 100 bucks a month, received a letter. Nothing was harassing at all. People who complain they owe money, some of u morons are hilarious. You owe money!!!! Pay it!!! Not hard, they tell you u owe a debt! Charged off or not. Smh u people make me sick. Kudos freeman Bryant for helping me. Feel sorry for people who feel "threatened" cuz they owe money. Not once did they intimidate me. Gave me my original account # it checked out. Bottom line? Pay ur bills
I received a numerous threatening calls and voicemail from a Theresa Anderson stating I will be sued for a civil matter. The debt they are trying to collect has been charged off 10 years ago. It is a SCAM! They have no legal address but a PO Box and cant even give their professional license. According to consumer affairs, you DO NOT need to discuss any outstanding debt without a valid written notice. I will be reporting this company to consumer affairs and State general. I hope they get shut down for threatening innocent people with old debt to take their money.
This Sandra Anderson is a piece of work, she really thinks that her "scare tactics" will work. She works for a collection agency, not affiliated with any attorneys office, she claimed she was a "legal liaison", this is not the case. Considering the fact that this company does not even have an address listed, a website, only works 9-5 EST, I get the feeling it is a 2 person collection office trying to make it to the big the big time.
