Started receiving multiple calls and text after posting an ad on AutoTrader.com. It appears that the telemarketers and scam artists are targeting online sellers by combing sites like Craigslist and AutoTrader for victims. List of the calls we received below…

I advertised a car for sale on craigslist.org and began receiving these calls several times a week. Each time the caller ID showed "Unknown number". If I answered, there was dead air, no connection. If I did not answer, I got a voicemail from "Kevin" at "Once Driven" about "my vehicle" and an offer to find me a buyer in exchange for a fee. I had expressly stated on craigslist.org that I DID NOT wish to be contacted by third-party businesses, only interested buyers. I actually sold my car and stopped posting on craigslist.org over two weeks ago, but I continue to receive dead air calls and voicemails from "Once Driven". This is especially frustrating because of the dead air when I answer, there is no actual person to tell that I sold my car, and they need to stop calling me.

Aligning their buyers with my "vehicle". I do have an advertisement on craigslist for selling an RV. This number appears as "Unknown caller" on my callerid. I did receive an "unknown caller" call yesterday and when I answered, there was silence. This robot call was looking for answering machines to leave a message.

3rd voice mail - Hi my name is Eric and I work for Once Driven. The number here is 855-844-2646. Um-I'm calling about your vehicle. If it is still for sale. We still are showing some demand for it. Ahh it's going to cost you around $200 bucks for us to get it sold for you. Um this is the last time I'll call. Ah Good luck. Again the number here is 855-844-2646. (with added sound effect of hanging up the receiver messy)
