(855) 855-2022 Robo call recorded 23 January 2018 ("This call is to notify you that your computer Microsoft Windows license key has been expired..." HA!) SCAM
Caller ID: "800 Service"
A misleading robo call using a computer synthesized voice attempting to make you believe your Microsoft Windows license key is expiring and to call their 855 number to rectify it.
Most native English speakers will probably notice some of their awkward English sentences, written in a way most native English speakers would never use.
I intend to call them (using a number spoofer) to see whether the scam is to get your credit card details, or to let them take over your computer with Team Viewer so they can plant malware on the computer so they can be even more devious.
Their call insults our intelligence on many levels, including their "shotgun" approach to making mass phone calls, hoping to find a few people who do have a computer with Microsoft Windows, and their total disregard of the Do Not Call list certainly tells us a lot about their business ethic, doesn't it?
Here is a transcript of this insulting, automated, intrusive and unwanted robo call:
[female voice:] "This call is to notify you that your computer Microsoft Windows license key has been expired so Microsoft Corporation has stopped the Windows services in your computer. To renew the Microsoft Windows license key, please call 855-855-2022. Let me repeat. This is a very important call to notify you that your Microsoft Windows license key has been expired on your computer so Microsoft Corporation has stopped the Windows services in your computer. To renew the Microsoft Windows license key, please call 855-855-2022. I will repeat 855-855-2022. Thank you."
