This is not SPAM The American Water Company announcement. This time it is that they are flushing out the water pipes and that you may experience rusty or dirty water.

A robo announcement call from out water company about upcoming water pipe maintenance.

Here is a transcript of this robo call announcement:

[male voice:] "Press any key or hold for an important message...This is an important message from New Jersey American Water. New Jersey American Water will begin routine flushing of the water distribution system in your area Monday, April 9th at 8 a.m., to ensure that you continue to receive high quality Water Service. Flushing also allows us to monitor and maintain fire hydrants. When crews are working in your area you may notice reduced pressure or discolored water. If your water is discolored, let it run until it runs clear before using. This should only take a few minutes."

Didn't answer because I was already on the phone.

I got a call from this # at 2:51 p.m. while I was on the phone, otherwise I would have blocked it. They called Tuesday at 9:18 a.m. while I was away. If this is NJ Water, why call me & I live in Illinois (near) St. Louis, MO. I believe this is a scam.

Nj American Water alert of line flushing. Don't block if this is your water service because if you do a load of whites without knowing they will turn brown!
