File a complaint with Wells Fargo cithe the Consumer Protective Bureau. Someone keeps calling me back ( conveniety when I'm not available) saying they are handling my case. I called back and the "person" (not caller) asks to many questions about soc. sec, account number, date of birth, I refused to answer.Funny becaue he DID NOT ask for the case number assisgned to my situation. He could find generalities enough to identify who was calling me.
7/28/23 I have a dispute with Wells Fargo ( 3 in fact) submitted my complaint. Today someone named "Darla" called me stating she was from Wells Fargo and would be investigating my complaint, but I did answer phone( she left above message. However, she did have the correct complaint (case) number) so I am not sure, last time I got a call from here I was spoofed.
Received a call from that number about a fraud I reported, called the Wells Fargo fraud department investigating my claim to confirm the number was legitimate and they confirmed it is a number from their fraud investigation department. The fact that it's not an 800 number implying it's a scam is completely ridiculous. The system ran out of 800 numbers a long time ago
I receive a similar call from that number about a fraud claim I filed with them, called Wells Fargo Fraud Resolution and it is a legitimate number
Last night I got an email thanking me for a complaint I did not make. I was about to call "Dominic" and inquire but decided to Google the number first. I will call Wells Fargo to confirm my account is safe as it referenced the last 4 of my actual account. Get a job people. Stop stealing

I followed up with the email and I suspected, it is phish. If you receive a call or email from a telephone that's not an (800) number, that's the first clue it's potentially a scam; look at the logo, google the phone numbers, look at the account or case number - if anything other than your email address identifies your correctly spelled name, account number or any other personal email, you should contact WF. PLEASE DO NOT CLICK ANY LINKS IN SUSPICIOUS LOOKING EMAILS. To avoid falling victim, if you're a WF customer, call the legitimate WF number and ask for fraud department. They do record phish e-mails and will ask you to read the email including the email address. Then WF will give you an email address to forward the phish email to, so they can investigate.
