My friend called me saying she had gotten a call that she was being takened to court for a fraudulent loan that was made by me and her as a reference. She told them she knew it was a scam so stop calling her. She asked him how did he get her number. He said that I gave him her number. She hung up on them and called me. I received a voice mail from someone named "James Brown" stating I needed to call them about a fraudulent loan. If they did not hear from me they will be taking me to court. I called the number and asked to speak to James Brown. The person on the line said he was busy he could help me. He said his name was Eric Williams and he was the senior attorney. I asked what company was he with. He siad American Law Offices. I asked where was he located he said Fairfield, CA. I asked him who was he representing he said American cash advance. I asked him what was this all about he said I took out a loan last year and it hasn't been paid back. He said I owed $968.57. If I paid $650, that would settle my case. He said we could settle this now or I can be served with court papers. He said they will be contacting my employer about this matter. I told him he can contact whomever he wants to because I don't owe anyone for a loan and I haven't taken out a loan. I then told him that I was going to contact the BBB about them because I know this is a scam. He then proceeded to tell me my home and work addresses and the last four of my SSN. I told him that I was contacting an attorney and the BBB in my state and California. He told me to do whatever I wanted to and hung up. I tried to contact him again and he would pick up but would not answer. Whatever you do DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION OR MONEY. THIS IS THE BIGGEST SCAM!!!!!!!!!!
