Yes, this number called us on a Sunday afternoon!! The only day we have off work, and these morons are calling. Leaves no messages on the answering machine,, when it came up on caller ID, we did not answer! The name on the caller ID was Portfolio Recovery.

General information:

If you desire, write ANY offender a letter stating the only way they may contact you is through the U.S. mail. Keep a copy of the letter. Also, it doesn't hurt to keep a log of when they call (date and time).

Keep calling and hanging up when I pickup. Don't say anything, however, the caller ID shows Portfolio Recovery. This has continued for three weeks. They also call from 1-404-719-4368, 1-410-575-1863, 1-678-275-8928, 1-412-235-6111, 1-914-595-7031.

If you have proof of paid debt, send copies to all 3 major credit agencies. They should take it off your report (if it is still on there). Then, you can send copies of all of it to them through a "cease and desist" from a lawyer. He shouldn't charge much to do it.
