Cardholder services. Scam. I have pressed "1" and talked to someone. At various times I have a) told them I an on "Do Not Call" list and been hung up on. b) Kept them on the line for 20 + minutes acting like I was interested the said "oh no, my battery is dy..." then hang up on them. c) press "1" and the operator came on. I said "how can I help you". She said "are you calling to reduce your credit card rate?" I said "No, you called me. How can I help YOU"? She said "did you call about your credit card interest rate?" I said "You called me , you dumb C-U_N---. And I hung up on her. 3 minutes later I got a call back from another number. She started yelling "You can't talk to me like that!" I taunted her until she cried and hung up. That was a good day.

Loan interest reduction. I have had these people call my home many times in the past despite many requests to have them stop calling. Now they are calling my cell phone. As soon as I started asking about the company, such as, "What is your call back number?" they hang up. Of course, when you try to call the number shown on the caller ID, it doesn't work. Probably spoofed.

Recorded message stating "hi this is Anne with card member services" then explains that due to recent changes in federal interest rates I am now eligible for reduced credit card interest rates. if I press 1 I am connected with a person, pressing 2 to "remove from the list" ends the call but they call again within a week and this has been going on for years despite pressing 2 multiple times and also making it clear to the representative verbally that I am not interested.

If I press 1 to speak with someone, they will ask how much debt I owe and if I tell them it is less than 3,000 they will say I am not eligible. If more than that amount, they will then ask me for my credit card number and expiration date which I have not given to them. They will not provide me the name of the bank they work with or the name of the institution that they are calling from.
