Got a call from this number at 10:20pm, in Nebraska of all places. As soon as they said an important alert from Connecticut I hung up. This is bizarre.

You people don't understand when you are getting a public alert from the state of CT? I looked this number up just to see how to contact them, but then I saw this site. Let me spell it out for you it stands for "Connecticut Department of Emergency Management and Homeland Security" and you can opt of it.

11pm 11/30/16 from ct demhs eoc claiming to be Bristol PD missing a 12 y/o boy said press 1 to confirm message received going to check my phone bill just in case after I file a complaint with Bristol PD

WTF is a CT DEMHS EOC??? Just screen calls, and let them go to the fax machine. If you call the telephone number back, you get a recorded message stating to call your local number.

From JS in ECONN - CT DEMHS EOC: 2:30 A.M. 7/25. Caller I.D. identified the number. No message. Did a reverse call back and got a canned alarm message with no details. Can't figure it out.

Claimed to be police, asking for help in finding an Asian boy, 14 years old, who is missing since yesterday. Said to look on Facebook; Wethersfield Police (CT). Nothing there; no picture.
Message sounded sincere.
