Calling about your credit card account. No problem with your account at this time.....lower your interest rate to 1.3%. Press...." They call for Bank of America, Capital One, and I missed the third company name. When I started asking questions, he hung up.
Scam! Phishing for credit card information!
They called to offer me an interest rate reduction on my "Visa or MasterCard" from "Capital One or Chase Bank". I played along. He asked for my exp. date. Gave it to him. Then "to verify your account, could you please give me the last 12 digits of your card?" I told him I'm not going to give my card number to someone who called me; I'll just call the card company myself to get my APR lowered.
Pro-tip, the last 12 digits are the only unique digits. Don't fall for this! Call the number on the back of the card to get your interest rate lowered.
Scammers of the worst kind! Tell you they will provide services for all of your credit cards, then steal your information and run up your credit cards. DO NOT FALL FOR THEIR TACTICS!
Call about lowering my interest rate on a credit card but never said what credit card.
