Called my house at 2:40PM est, male said he was with the VA and wanted money donation for homeless veterans. I WORK for the VA and I KNOW the VA DOES NOT solicit like this! PLEASE...for all of you that support the troops and veterans, DO NOT donate! The man offered to send a card and envelope for donations, if you get this offer also tell him to send it, and when you recieve the correspondence report it!! Do NOT give out ANY personal information!! Called the number back and it was just a voicemail.

Tried to call the number back, right after they called me and got the recording that the number was disconnected and no longer in service.
Caller: no caller id
they left no name and seemed very aggressive and a little over whelming trying to get me to send more then i could at this time telling me to send more money then 20.dollars i told them i will,and i need to research them to send anything more, but maybe i should research them before i send anything at all and then send the money.they seem like they were basically scamming me who are these people and how can i research them a little better,how did they get my number and name?i would love to help the troops but there is so many scams out there its hard to trust one word over the phone there has got to be a better way to donate and at a time money seems so hard to come by who can you trust to do right with the money sent?is this a scam or a real organization?
