this number has been calling me over the past 3 days and when i pick up it just disconnects

this number keeps calling i have answered a couple times and it just disconnects.

i could understand if a credit representative were to call me, but to have an automated dialer simply feed silence and a beep before hanging up... well, it's pure harassment. calling me five to eight times a day to entice me to call the annoying number back. oh, and guess who is paying the airtime minutes for answering their harassing calls of silence. yup, you are. roger's tactics are near draconian.


p.s. i am only a few days late on a single payment with a good credit history and years of service. thanks for the loyalty benefits!

The number 1-866-313-6030 appeared on my caller ID but I missed the call... I am a Roge's Wireless customer, and my bill IS in fact overdue (I know this, but just made a payment that they likely have not yet received). I very highly doubt that this is some kind of fake scam or something.... Your mobile provider has the right to call you, especially if they are looking for payment arrangements, not unusual.

Its Rogers. Not a fake Rogers. What are you paranoid people talking about.

This number has been calling me nonstop all day for 3 weeks. They willnever leave a message. Its getting really annoying.

Has anyone else out there had the same problem?

ITS A SCAM.

THEY JUST CALLED ME ALL DAY. FINALLY AT 9 OCLOCK THEY CALLED AND SOME SWEET GIRL TALKED EXACTLY LIKE A ROGERS CS PERSON. I SAID I WOULD PAY KNOWING THAT MY CARDS DONT WORK, GAVE THEM AN OLD NUMBER AD IT DIDNT WORK OF COURSE SO THEY WERE PERSISTANT. GAVE THEM ANOTHER AND IT DIDNT WORK, DUH, SO I KNOW THEY ARE A SCAM BECAUSE THEY WERE PERSISTANT TO MAKE ME TRY OVER AND OVER.

I CALLED THE COLLECTION NUMBER AT 1800 267 2070 AND TEY SAID I HAD TO PAY JULY 2ND AND DID THIS TWICE BUT THE FISHY THING IS I CALLED THE 313 NUMBER AND IT DIRECTED ME TO THE 1800 267 2070 THAT SAID I OWED IN JULY.

omg they called my cellphone today as well!!! they called me twice today, yesterday and the day before!!

But what was really fishy, is the fact that what appeared on my screen above the 1866-313-6030 number is the name of a friend i usually call the most (a close friend)!!!

I think they had access to my account, found which number i call the most and used the name as a way to make me pick up the phone.

If its a collection agency that calls on behalf of rogers, this is certainly an unfair practice, using false information to get me to pick the phone, isn't it illegal??

I only owe Rogers $58 (my previous bill), it has happened in the past to pay my bill off a bit late (and the amount was way higher), so why are they being so persistent this time?

they call about 4 or 5 times a day every day and i know the bill is paid up so whats the deal it has gotten so bad i have to turn the ringer off on all the phones in the house.this has got to stop but what can i do?

I called the number back and it's Rogers.
