This is in fact a call from USPS. I talked with "Willie", he knew the details of the current case I filed the day before about an erroneous change of address. While he could not do anything over the phone, he said I need to go to local post office and they will fix it. I went there and they called up the case number, which had Willie's notes from our call.
Last week, I went to vote. I had great difficulty doing so because I was told that I was the only member at our residence who had moved to a different town. I had to complete an affidavit verifying that I had not moved. I filed a complaint with voting headquarters, who blamed the error on our mailman falsifying the information, who blamed it back on the election officials. A week passes and I got an email directed to "Dear (wrong first name) (mis-spelled last name), please call this phone number. Am I to presume it to be valid when so much other information is wrong?
NOT a scam. This is a legitimate postal inspection number, verified by a mail theft inspector at 877-876-2455.
Luana has called several times after a change of address form was filed. PO staff addressed my issue-not responding to this.
Got a call from "Willie", just left a message to all him back, twice now in 4 days. We recently had our mail put on vacation hold my someone from the internet, with a change of address requested also. All of this was fraud, sounds like this call is another example of trouble.
