I received a call supposedly from my mortgage company around 6:30pm yesterday. When I answered it sounded as if the lady didn't know what to say- she asked me how I was doing and claimed the mortgage company was just checking on customers. That was it- she didn't try to sell me anything or even mention my account. Today I received another call, which went to voicemail, claiming they were my mortgage company again and left the number to call back. I'm glad I looked up the number first.

My home loan was bought out by Mr. Cooper earlier this year. Like clockwork, I get a call from this number on the 10th of every single month telling me that I my payment is "late" and that my loan is now in default. According to the information displayed on my statement and my online account, my payment is not considered late until the 17th. I have a recurring payment set up to be paid on the 13th of every month (because I'm not giving them the satisfaction of earning 13 days of interest on my hard earned money). EVERY. SINGLE. MONTH! I can understand a courtesy reminder call to let me know that I have not made my monthly payments as of yet, but the threatening voicemail is overkill, especially when my payment is technically not late according to my monthly statements.

Called and left message 2432 Beta. Looked up number on internet. Showed it was a Nation Star number. Nation Star is now Cooper, Inc. Called Cooper and it is not one of their numbers. Cooper, Inc. numbers don't start with 866 either.

Called and said there is a judgement against me and demands I call them back. I've never had a mortgage.
