Doesn't give any other info. If the person above hadn't posted, I'd have NO CLUE what company this was.

I'm more likely to return a call to someone that doesn't sound like a spam bot... pre-recorded messages and a total lack of information when requesting that I return a phone call doesn't make me feel any need to return a phone call. You ever heard of solicitors? What's to make me think a random phone call with no identifying information isn't from a solicitor? Why would I call a solicitor back? Provide more information, maybe you'll get more return phone calls... company name, reference number, a real person leaving the message, maybe a real person's name and even an extension number... a reason to make me think I might have a real person to return a call to... I'm in no hurry to talk to a robot.

It's a collection agency. Either you owe someone money, or more likely, they're searching for someone you know who owes someone money. It's a "recovery" business. And unfortunately, if they get an answering machine, it means to them that it's a legitimate number, and they will KEEP trying.

Your best bet is to go ahead and answer it, play completely dumb (my ex-h was getting calls; I said there's a lot of men by that name. I have no idea what you're talking about) and ask them to remove your number because you are not connected to that person.
