Matt called and left messages twice. Said he saw our car was still for sale. We don't have a car for sale. My husband had listed a motorcylce on Cycle Trader, so Matt/company must scan all on-line buy/sell sites. I called the number and talked to a representative (could hear a lot of chatter in the background so it must be quite a set up). I told her I had received two calls, that we did not have a car for sale, I knew it was all a scam, and that if we received another call I would report them. She took my number and said it would be removed from their list. I hung up.

Selling cars
The caller pretended to be calling me about a car that I have for sale in the newspaper. This seems to be some kind of a scam because I have no car for sale and have not placed any type of ad in a newspaper.
I have received 3 or 4 calls from this company but did not record the previous dates and times of the calls.

I have a motorcycle listed on cycletrader.com. Since it's posting, I have received calls from "Unknown" daily. Every time I'd answer, I'd be disconnected. I left it go to voicemail and Matt Carter said that he'd sell my vehicle guaranteed for a small fee. This is quite bothersome, especially on my primary, personal cell phone.

I hate the scams on the internet. We're trying to sell a car on Auto Trader and this guy from Longwood, Inc. calls as a broker to buy cars for people in his network...his number in listed in Honolulu. Really, I'm going to sell my car to a guy in HI when it's on the main land? I don't think so. I call B.S.

Matt Carter from Longwood called from an Unknown number, of course I didnt answer so he left a message. I had a vehicle posted on Craigslist, I did some research and this is all a scam, they can sell your car for a small fee, and would like more information about this. If you answer the Unknown calls, the call gets disconnected. When you call the number back and ask to speak to Matt Carter the lady tells you that he doesnt take incomming calls. So I asked her to take my number off of their system, and Matt Carter no longer calls.
