(866) 346-5935

Another 1-866 called my cell phone today, and when I checked my call log of received calls, this particular number showed up from last 10 December. I don't remember the details anymore, but these 1-866 calls are definitely becoming a pattern. I hope the worms that perpetuate these scams choke to death!

Exact Message (without the ums, ahs, etc.):

“Yeah, hi it’s Brian. I have a file that has been assigned to my office that I need to review with you to confirm if the location information in it is correct or not. It is regarding someone you know and there is conflicting facts in the file. I can’t leave details on the answering machine so you will need to call me to go over it. I will be available today to take your call, but you can reach me at 866-346-5939, again that number is 866-346-5939 just ask for me and we can go over this to get this wrapped up. Thanks”

No company name, didn’t use my name, didn’t leave any solid information = SCAM

This appears to be a SCAM line. I have received several calls from the same number and voice. They leave a vague message on the voicemail/answering machine asking you to call them back about "important matters" and "getting your file corrected."

Today I answerd the call to tell them I was on the National Do Not Call list. I wanted to tell them to remove me from their lists. When I answered,. I discovered the caller was a recording.

I filed a complaint with the National Do Not Call Center and urge you to do the same. You do not even need to be registered since they are using a robo-dialer to place recorded calls.

Let's get the Feds to shut this scammer down.

Caller called and said that he has a folder and needs me to call him to clear up some conflicting information about somebody I know.
