I see the reports stating that it is capitol one, the only issue with that claim is that I do not have a capitol one account, have never had one, and dont give out my cell number to anyone other then family, so it most certainly is a SCAM and the people who are claiming it to be legit need to check their credit reports

I cancelled my Capital One card several months ago, with no balance due. I've been getting repeated calls without leaving a message.

Calls 2 or 3 times a day from 866-381-0453.

This is my 2nd month with a new phone provider and number(because I dumped T-Mobile for Sprint). Cap one keeps calling for a woman named Carrie. I've informed them each time I am not Carrie and they just keep calling. :(

Capitol One keeps calling even when I told them I am out of a job, no money coming in and WHEN I DO GET A JOB..they will be the first to get money as I have always paid my bills. This is so frustrating. She said that she would MAKE NOTE OF WHAT I SAID on my account. Still calls everyday.

They called me on my cell. I'm a 14 year old. Why would I have my phone number on a Credit Card? They asked me for my credit card number from Capital One. I almost couldn't hear him through that indian accent, so I said I didn't have one. He had the audacity to then say that I called him. He asked me if I had anything else to do in an aggrivated tone, like I wasted his time...I hung up right there.

Calls our home day after day all times of day and night

Today, I have received two telephone cals from Capital One asking for Alan. 1st call from 800-955-6600; 2nd call from 866-381-0453. Both times, the caller was told, Alan does not live here & never has. There should be a way to stop these people from calling; and then hiding behind, the "Privacy Act"

As a matter of fact it is capital one. I was not late on my payment but was over my credit limit. I called the number back and they identified themselves as NCO financial, a collection agency for capital one. When I hung up I called the number on the back of my card and I was directly connected to NCO financial once again.

just started getting phone calls from 866-381-0453 about 2 weeks ago. I noticed they always call me in the morning (between 9 and 11 am) and never leave a message. After reading these posts at least I'll know not to even bother answering. Thanks everyone.
