This is a scam alike. I filed a police report. Never provided this kind of company any information.

This is a scam - always ask for an invoice showing what you owe before paying anything. If they area a collection agency or a business, they can and will provide documentation showing a balance due and what that balance is for. NEVER give your credit card number out over the phone - people can charge anything they wish to the credit card. A helpful hint to everyone... get a copy of your credit report regularly. You are allowed to get a FREE copy of your credit report from each agency per year. This is a great way to stay on top of things.

I am a long time manager of a motel and they insist two tenants who I have never heard of owe them a debt from BMG. I finally managed to get to speak with a live person who insisted that as they are not tenants the motel was liable as we supposedly have rented to them!

He then insisted I give him the motels business credit card details so he could cancel the debt and stop the time wasting calls (at least one per day). When I refused and asked for details in writing he hung up on me.

As of today (Dec 10th 2009) they are still calling at least once a week and always with an automated message asking you to either call or visit their website.

To anyone reading this I would say insist on getting everything in writing as they seem to be a 100% scam.

I have had three threatining calls to say I must call them immediately or I will have agreed to something without approval. This is a new phonenumber for me and Ido not appreciate these people threatening me. The better business bureau should be contacted.

got the call in voice mail. It sounded very threatening. Told to call or visit their website (TAKHARGROUP.COM) Failure to return this call may result in a decision on a file without you input. I called and got an answering machine that asked me to leave my name and number and someone would gtet back to me. The website has a place to put your phone # and zip code and supposedlty show why they called you. I tried it and it said that a file could not be found. I owe no debts so is this some kind of scam?

Calls come in after 8pm from 1-866-408-8299!! I have NO idea who they are. I am permanently disabled and do not appreciate calls that late, especially when I do not know why they are calling.

This company collects for BMG/Columbia Records DVD/Music clubs. That is why they called me. I haven't been in that club in 2 years and thought I had bought all the requirements. Guess not.

I keep getting these threatning calls and when you call back you get a recording stating to leave your name and number bt does not address who they are.

Someone from this number keeps calling my home during the day while I am at work leaving a message that it is important that I contact them. I tried once and got a answering machine with no name of the business or anything. Just leave your name & number and we will call you back. What kind of business would leave a message like that? I know it's bogus Block the number. Go to donotcall.gov and enter your numbers and it will block all those bogus calls. Good luck to everyone else getting them.

The caller spoke broken words, could only understand parts of what was said. When I called the number back they said it was a collection agency. I have no past debts.

I received a threatening phone call from this number today. They would not identify themselves. They just stated if I don't return the call they will take matters into there own hand without my knowledge. I have no idea what is happening.

they call and leave messages, and then i call them back and get a machine. If I answer the call, its a recording telling me to leave a message. If I leave a message no one respnds immediately. The calls are weekly!
