I received a call asking to verify the last 4 of my ssn and my date of birth, I told him I did not feel comfortable verifying that over the phone. I asked if they sent something out to me in the mail, he said they may or may not have and cannot tell me anything until I verify the last 4 and my date of birth. I told him to no longer contact me by phone and to send something to my address showing what I owe. He ended the call.

I received a call from this credit control number and they requested that I verify my SSN and DOB. No way was I going to give them any information regarding my personal. I never heard of this company prior to this call. I am currently unemployed and have a excellent credit history of no late and no missed payments. When I obtain gainful employment I will contact my individual creditors and set up payment arrangements, unless I hit the lottery. Please stop calling me, I would benefit me to go to court regarding this dispute. Have a great day Credit Control! Peace

This a-hole called me last month and threatened me with legal proceedings - nothing happened yet. I told him I spoke to him last month, and he lied and said he never spoke to me. I have already filed a complaint with the FDCPA against this company. He said he was trying to settle this before it proceeded to a suit. Go ahead and stop threatening. It's CompUSA and I'm prepared to counter-sue for the lousy warranties they sold me that were useless a month later cause they went bankrupt!!

This is the biggest joke in debt collection - I'm leaving a message all right - at 5:30 a.m. in the morning to let David Miller know that I'm sending a C&D letter and that he is to stop calling, and if he doesn't, I'm filing a complaint.

David Miller called my cellphone, and house several times stating, "that he was calling from Credit Control Office, and that I owed his company money, and that I needed to pay him immeditately, or he would follow with a suit on me. At first I thought it was true so I called my original debt holder, and they called him while I was on the phone, and the girl that answered was very rude." It's diffently a SCAM!! They claim to be in Clearwater, Florida. The number they leave for you to call them back at is: 1-866-417-5760. Please check into it before you give them any money!!!!
