Domestic terrorism funded by illegal debt collection scams. They threaten violence if you acknowledge them. They never have correct info because it's all a ridiculous con job. Advice? Never take their calls, never give them information, and most importantly, NEVER give them money. Since they call from HUNDREDS of different phone numbers in different states, please understand that there is NOTHING legit about these con artists. Laugh at them & go on about your day because they never actually DO anything but make annoying, ridiculous phone calls. 😂 Simpleton cowards.

This bothersome phone number is a collection agency named Portfolio Recovery.
I know because I just purchased (upgraded) my Android, and went ahead and changed my number a few months ago, and due to robocalls during the tax season being outrageous, I registered the new number with the DO NOT CALL REGISTRY.
In this short amount of time I have received over 40 calls, and since I'm able to look up calls and IP addresses, I can say with 100% certainty it's Portfolio. They are a debt recovery company that doesn't seem to have very updated ways of locating true account holders who are in default.
Regardless, even if you do have outstanding debt, 9 times out of 10 the credit card company has already written off your dbt, sold your information, and Portfolio has no real legal right to bother a person who has had debt problems. Why? Well, because the individual never signed an agreement with Portfolio. They signed an agreement with the credit card company, no one else.
So, I simply block the numbers, and last week I finally contacted the Federal Trade Commission.
