My son and I have received numerous calls on our cell phones from 866-526-7795 asking for me. I told them I did not have a Capitol One account and to not call me again. They said it would take 72 hours to process my request and said they would have to call back to confirm. They called my son's cell phone back about an hour later. I told them again, I do not have an account with them. He tried to get me to give him info, I would not. Then he gave me the middle initial of the person they were looking for which is not mine. He said it would take 72 hours to process my request to stop calling. Got another call, answered, same guy, he hung up when he heard my voice. Got another call, this time a lady who asked the same questions. I told her to not call my or my son's cell phone again...it was illegal and I was going to file a complaint if we were contacted again. She said it would take 72 hours to process my request. I told they had better not keep calling me within that time frame. Haven't heard anything in about 2 hours. Think I will still file a complaint with FCC...looks like they are up to no good!

it's sucks... they have my name , with someone name, but i like my number i don't wanna change... but when they called me I decided to answered and I spoke portuguese and they hang out

don't know how they got this number as it is not in my name. have contacted capital one and straightedned things out, but they continue calling. i told that i talked to capital one but didn't make a difference.

Allied now goes by iQor, Inc. The president and CEO is Vikas Kapoor. Like all of today's CEOs, almost eveything is in his wife's/family's name. A plush appartment in Manhattan (Google the address) and a winery in CT.

These people have been calling me for weeks now. They asked if I was "my name," and I said "Yes." Then I proceeded to tell them that I don't even have a Capital One account. Then they asked if the last four digits of my social were "XXXX" and I said "No" because they weren't. They informed me that this other person with my name owed them money. I re-stated that I didn't owe them any money and that they must be looking for someone else.

The next time they called, I was assured that my phone number would be deleted. The time after that, I was really rude to them. Today, they called me again, but I didn't answer.

What can I do? Are they really Capital One? Did I give them too much information by telling them what my last 4 numbers were NOT? I will read these posts to see what some of you have done.

They call 4 or 5 times a day, once in a while I pick up and tell them I'm not the person they're looking for. They say I will be taken off the list, and the calls stop for a few weeks then start right back up. Bleh.

I am sick of these people calling me! They charged me wrong 2 the point of me having 2 cancel my card, yet they still want 2 charge me 4 their mistakes. looks like i have 2 deal w that number 4 life.

Received 2 calls this morning from Allied Interstate 1-866-526-7795. No msg was left. When I called back they answered as Capitol One. I questioned why they were calling and they stated it was in regards to a payment on my husbands capitol one account. I questioned if they were calling about a payment owed to which they said they would check and asked for his credit card number!!!! I refused to give it so they asked if the number I was calling from was the number they called... I said yes. I told them my records showed they had just received their payment on april 15th and we were not behind on payments. She then asked if I had a capitol one card. I replied yes but payment isnt due on it yet. She then told me to disregard the call!!!???? I have never had capitol one ask me for my credit card number so I am wondering if this was a phishing attempt for identity theft.

Beyond harassment!!! They call multiple phones up to 20x's per day all hours of the day and night! Needs to stop!!!

They call several times a day, each and every day! No one is ever on the other end of the call, I say "Hello" but no reply, then they hang up on you. I have tried calling the number back, but yet again there is no one on the other end of the line , then it goes to a busy signal. I want these companies to stop calling me! What ever happened to the law? Remember the DO NOT CALL law!! I am on that list but yet it seems to do no good!

when you call the number back they answer the phone as capitol one.
