They left a message on my answering machine this morning (10/18/2025) implying that I owe money on a credit card I closed about 10 years ago. Maybe longer. In fact, it was an AT&T Universal card which, to the best of my knowledge, no longer even exists and hasn't for quite some time.

It's a scam. First the automated robo voice will ask for your zip code, next the last 4 of your social. If you select "2" to be put through to a representative, you get some hold music then the system hangs up on you. Definitely not Citi Bank. Also, there's no card account for the person they were calling for.
