Scam from India: The story was our computer was generating error messages on their server. They claimed to be from Microsoft and would install software on our computer to fix the problem. Looking online, this appears to be a common problem.

Called saying there is a problem with my windows and there are hackers trying to get in. Told them we are on the Do Not Call list and they said this was about safety of personal information, not selling something. I asked for their information and told them I don't think they are a legitimate company.
