This is a scam. They are very clever and somehow access information to serve their devious purpose. They keep the amount low enough that it might be easier to just pay it off rather than put up with their attempt to collect. Mine came in the mail. It appears very official. They said I owed money to DIRECT TV, in the amount of $18.64. I knew for a fact I did not owe anything and in fact had received a refund check for overpayment. When I called the number 866-565-8372, they could offer me no explanation as to when they were asked to collect on this phony debt. Somehow they got my new address and my actual DIRECT TV account number. They call themselves DIVERSIFIED CONSULTANTS,INC.. If they get busted, they will more than likely just change their name and #. And what a surprise,.....they have no email address. They probably have stolen money from thousands and prey on the elderly. I'd like to see them in prison.
