Same thing happened to me today. Logged off and logged on and my Security Protection blocked the virus

I was logging on to Facebook via Firefox and a message with sound popped up informing me that I had a virus and not to do any online shopping until I called 1-866-572-9507 to assist me in virus removal. Rebooting my lap top did not make it go away, but I was able to get it to stop by double tapping on the X in the top right corner of the browser.
