They called all of our phones, land and cell and mentioned a card that had been cancelled. Pretending to be Chase. We did not answer.

SCAM - Chase Fraud (via the number on the card) confirmed that no one had tried to reach me from this number. When I called this number back, they wanted way too much information like my complete credit card # and my SSN.

Don't believe the commenters who say this is legit. I received a call like this, and there were a couple of things wrong. One, the incoming number did not match the callback number left on the voice mail. Two, the callback number was nothing like the credit card customer service number. Three, the "last four digits" that they mentioned in a voice mail were from an old card which had been cancelled because of fraudulent charges a couple of months ago. When I called back, the "representative" asked me to "confirm" the last four digits of the card. I think these thieves realized the card had been canceled when the charges did not go through, and so they followed up with a phishing scam so they could try again with the replacement card.
I called my credit card customer service number and they said that was not a legitimate number. There is nothing wrong with calling the number on the back of your card first. Do that first and you'll be fine, you can call whatever number they give you, or more likely they will transfer you.

Called about an credit card account. First clue was the account (old and closed). Second were his office hours of 5/30 PM to 2:30 AM Sunday through Thursday. Scumbags.

Got bogus call - Chase confirmed as not legit. They had closed account details and names.

The name of the caller was Niko Bias and he does have a voicemail and he said he was with Chase fraud services, tried calling back several times to get a live person but I just keep getting his voicemail

I just got a phone call from my son's doctor stating I was disputing a charge from them on a date that he wasn't even been seen, Plus, things is I do not have a copay for him so I have never charged anything in the 10 years he has been alive. It's scary that they knew my son's doctor though.....

A fraudster left a message on my landline answering machine asking me to call them back at 866 582 7130 at a given extension. They knew our full names, the type of credit card, and the old prior last four digits on the card. They claimed to be the security department of the bank that issued the credit card. I called the bank and they denied it was them and they said that 866 582 7130 has nothing to do with them. Calling 866 582 7130 gives a generic message that does not give the organization name - that is a big clue right there!

Same deal like the rest. I had called Chase to see if the call originated from them and was told that Chase doesn't call regarding old, non valid credit cards. Scam.
