Got the same call on my voice mail at my work (after hours) - not sure how they got that number, but she left a voice mail saying it was from Chase Guard Services, Fraud Department and wanted to verify information on a card - gave me the last 4 digits of an old card that was involved in the Target hack. Also gave me an extension number of 6585358. Did not call back.

I received mutiple calls from this number claiming that they are from the Cahse Card Services Fraud Dept and asking for personal information. It is a scam. I called the number on the back of my Credit Card and said not to call this number back. Also the number was an old closed out account. SCAM

I have got a voicemail message form John ... form Chase Services Fraud Operation, asking me to call back, and if he is not available, then leave him a message. I called back to see what's up, and his voicemail asked me to leave full account number and other personal info. Uhmmm, no, thanks.

I've received 2 messages from this number. from "Joanna". She says she's from Chase Fraud and needs to verify charges on my account number ending in "xxxx" (last 4 digits) and that it's not a sales call. The account number she quoted has been closed for several months. When I called the number back the first thing they asked me was for my full account number that I was calling about. I said, "no, thank you...I will call the phone number on the back of my card." When I called Chase they had NO record of having called me and verified that this phone number does NOT belong to Chase.

Received a voice mail at 7:37PM from 224-222-5000. The voice mail was a little tough to decipher but it sounds like the man said his name was Francis from Chase Parts Services from the Fraud Operations Department. He said that a lady named Cynthia is claiming that we have fraudulently charged her $4,519.90 on 6/21/13. Since we are an HVAC company and deal with a vendor called ChaseParts Company, I decided to contact our vendor. They confirmed that they have no record of calling us and the last time we did business with them was in 2012. Also, they do not have a fraud department. I googled the phone number which led me to this website and everyones complaints which was very helpful.

Yikes just got a call today from "chase fraud department" Not really chase he was pushing for info and started to get nasty with me when I would not give him infor instead I told him I was not sure I would call him back he gave me a number plus an extension ensted I called chase and there was no record of the fraud department calling me!

My wife just got called by a woman from this number. She claims to be calling from Chase credit card service. She wanted the security code from the back of her new credit card.

Glad I didn't answer this call and decided to check the number out. Same situation with someone wanting to verify information on my closed account. Thought it was a little odd. The message left was to call 1-866-582-7130, ext 15917, but the number that showed up on my phone was 224-222-5000.

i got the call for my sons account. Her name was Terra and gave same phone # plus ext. Decided to look up phone # on internet to see if true and I see it wasn't. Terra said not a solicit call but need to verify info on account. Thanks everyone for your input.

Same scenario: Only name was Christina. Called Chase and they said to be careful.
It wasn't them.

i suspected this call was fraudulent as soon as the caller mentioned it was in regard to a closed credit card account. I got even more suspicious when he left an ext. number on my voicemail. I did not call back. Was grateful to discover that my suspicions were correct, as confirmed by the similar experiences on this website.

Will not be calling this number back since it sounds like fraud. I don't know what Chase needs to call me about in terms of a charge I can't use on my card. If I feel I need to call them, I'll just call the number on the card. I will presume their number is a fake and this is fraud.

this guy said he was ryan from chase fraud detection and as above, needed to verify some information about my closed account. he also said they are open only 5pm to 2am sunday thru thursday, which i thought was interesting. I have not called back, because the fraud was dealt with at the level of the online store which didnt put the fraudulent charge through to chase

I received two calls from this number on two consecutive days. I believe the caller said his name was "Dennis." In any case, he said he was calling for Chase Card Services Fraud Operation and needed to verify some information about my closed account (which was closed because of identity theft). I called Chase today and they have no record of their people either accessing that account or contacting me about it. So I can only conclude this call was a scam designed to obtain my new credit card information.
