Veteran's Choice Program arranges for medical related care for vets who live 40 miles or more from VA med facilities. It's part of Tricare system. https://www.military.com/benefits/veterans-health-care/va-choice-act.html Don't provide info if called, phone numbers can be spoofed BUT if you call number it is the legit agency.

This number doesn't know when to stop calling you. It's a legitimate federal number, but acts more like a telemarketer.

I did verify the number and they are indeed the Veterans Choice Program. This is on the level. And, they did NOT ask me a phishing questions. This is the actual Veterans Choice Program.

They called me I went through the pre recorded garbage, then a lady came on, and wanted my FULL social security number. I told her I would only give her my last four. She INSISTED on the FULL number. NOPE! The VA NEVER asks for the full number on the phone. NOT going to happen. BYE!

Call came in at 10:00 MST on a Sat. Returned call and received a msg that the caller was not open on weekends. Okay, then why call on a weekend? Blocked number until someone at our nearest VAMC can verify/deny the number as authorized by the VA.

Got a call from 866-606-8198, caller ID is "Veterans choice"! the call was hesitated until he heard a voice, than a recording came on! Apparently he asked for my husband with just a first name ! the call came in on 1/5/201 at 11:25 a.m., Hawaii time. It's scary these days to say anything being the call came from KS or OK! We don't like calls coming from a recording machine, being we are old-school folks!

Recieved a call from this number after regular working hours (7:25 pm). If this is not a spam or phishing number, why did the caller advise (when asked) that she was in california. I looked the number up, and found that it was placed from Southeastern kansas. Got an answer for that???

This is the VA Choice program - Tri-West Healthcare Alliance is a contractor that schedules outside the VA appointments for Veterans. Please remove the "Spam" designation.
